SaveWell all I can say is it is January 13 and it was a warm 78 degrees and the winds were less than 5 kts in Jekyll Island. We started out at 6:30am and headed to a flat. With Bill Carroll on the bow I started down the flat and right away we saw a small school of fish working. We headed them off and got a few casts to them but no takers. We continued down the flat and soon enough we caught our first redfish about 24 inches. We noticed a school of fish tailing in about 2 feet or more of water so I headed there way. I figured they were big because of the dept of the water and sure enough as they charged the fly Bill set up on a nice fish that turned out to be just over 30 inches and weigh 10 pounds. The next fish was 34 and weighed 11. We continued to catch fish until the tide turned and then it slowed down a little we moved spots to another flat and caught a few more fish on the incoming. Eric Davis and Pat Dunn were also stalking the same fish and pulled a 12 pounder out of it. What a day! Thanks Bill it was a great day fishing on the water.
