We’ve felt like we’ve been in the Perfect Storm lately up here. We’ve had around twenty some odd inches of rain this past week and a half. In all the years I’ve lived up here I’ve never seen the rivers reach such high levels. Good news is we’re definitely out of the drought now and the rivers should hold at good levels for quite some time. We had to cancel some trips during the monsoons, but below are some pictures from a bass fishing trip on Sept. 22nd, taken from Lake Nottely. We were fishing for hybrid bass and striped bass and managed to put our clients on some hard fighting bass despite the continuous down pour.

The bass fishing is picking up on all of our Southern Appalachian lakes and we can’t wait for October and November to get here. The topwater bite is going to be phenomenal and we’re expecting to have some very successful guide trips with some trophy bass in the mix. Get on the phone and give us a call to book your bass fishing trip this fall. Your not going to want to miss the action.

P.S. I’ll be MIA for the next few days fishing the Rumble in Rhododendron Fly Masters Tournament this weekend.
