The hatchery is located in Morganton, GA 706- 838-4723 off Hwy 60 between Morganton and Dahlonega. The trout hatchery raises a million rainbow trout each year to stock the tailwaters, streams and lakes of North Georgia. It is operated by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Visitors can tour the hatchery and visitor center, fish Rock Creek, have a picnic, take a hike or camp nearby at the Frank Gross Campground.
